Once Upon A Time, There Were Some Lucky Ducks...

For the rest of the year, we will be looking at some classic fairy tales and variations of them. We will look at the classic version of the Three Little Pigs as well as some funny twists on the story, such as The Three Little Wolves and The Big Bad Pig.

Theme Concepts:
-Fairy tales are made up stories.
-In fairy tales, there are happy endings.
-Characters in fairy tales can be people or other things that do not usually speak (animals)
-Fairy tales can be told differently so there are many versions of the same story.

Small Groups:
Literacy: Students will match the pigs with their corresponding building materials and the resulting house.
Mathematics-Children will complete a Piggy Bank Counting Book.
Literacy- Students will complete a picture story the classic three little pigs story
Literacy- Children will practice their knowledge of positional language. Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf positional book.
Literacy- Students will come up with words that begin with the letter Z and decorate the last page for their letter books.
